Guiding Principles ICCF believes that it is in the short- and long-term interests of local communities to pursue policies and implement programs for good natural resource management, as these lead to poverty alleviation, economic development, food and water security, and overall health. Â It is also in the best interests of the U.S. and other donor nations to invest in these programs, not only for humanitarian purposes and to preserve God's vast creation, but because such programs contribute to conflict avoidance, shared economic opportunities, energy and food security, and the health of the planet on which we, and generations to come, depend.
