Marcia Marsh, COO, WWF
ICCF welcomed a delegation of executives of leading private businesses in China who are members of the China Entrepreneur Club, a group of executives representing 4% of China’s GDP dedicated to leading CSR in enterprise by example and encouraging responsible practices in the new Chinese economy. Executives from Walmart, Proctor & Gamble, and TCL Corporation, the largest multinational consumer electronics corporation in China, explained that creating sustainable supply chains and sourcing responsibly are not only good for their businesses, but are essential to ensuring the free market operates efficiently. Li Dongsheng, Chairman of the Board and CEO of TCL Corporation, says that the pattern and model of state-controlled economic growth in China has shifted, as sustainable and responsible natural resource management are now key considerations in all new social and economic plans.
