ICCF is seeking a creative and driven individual to join our communications team as a Communications Intern. College juniors, seniors, and recent graduates with an interest in strategic communications and foreign affairs are encouraged to apply. Candidates should possess exceptional communication skills, including strong writing and research skills; strong organizational skills with the ability to manage several tasks at once; and a demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Familiarity with conservation, foreign affairs issues, and/or politics is preferred.
A working knowledge of various communication tools such as HTML/XHTML/CSS, RSS, digital photography, photo editing, digital videography, video editing and programs such as Adobe Photoshop is a plus.
Responsibilities include: • Assist management of communications projects to ensure on-time completion of all deliverables;
• Assist in planning/management of media campaigns;
• Manage and support content development on the ICCF website;
• Draft conservation updates, conservation reports, and op-eds;
• Research and compile background materials to prepare a wide variety of communication products and support campaign efforts;
• Provide organizers with assistance on special media projects; and
• Interface /liaise with corporate and NGO partners to support publication, website, and advocacy projects.
